Key Stage 4

WJEC GCSE Media Studies (A*-G)

For this qualification, students immerse themselves in a rich and diverse range of media texts, exploring key areas such as media industry, representation, narrative, genre and audience. Our studies are underpinned by theoretical approaches and students acquire and use specialist media subject terminology. As well as analysing and responding to the Media, students become media producers themselves in planning and creating their own products.

WJEC GCE AS/A-Level Media Studies (A*-E)

Students enjoy studying a rich and varied diet of Media texts, ranging from TV, film promotion, video games, advertising, music video and news in all its forms. Our studies are underpinned by a theoretical framework and students create their own products in addition to responding to media texts.
